Neck-through, neck-through, neck-through!!!Night and day. That's the difference between the tone quality a bolt-on makes versus a neck-through.
This neck-through Model 5 is in the sought-after Pearl White factory finish, equipped with twin J80C humbuckers, arguably the most professional sounding pickups used in the Model Series guitars, and Kahler Standard tremolo. The J80Cs provide the professional sound and the Kahler provides the warmth. The brass rollers give you rich tones and a warmth unparalleled by another other trem.
The Model 5 features TWO unique and very cool toys:

The first is the powerful pre-amp. You will find a factory correct/original JE-1200 tone mid-boost pre-amp attached to the volume pot. This gadget greatly enhances the quality and range of tones spit out by the professional J80C humbuckers and the neck-through body.

The second is the factory JE-0005 5-way "super-switch" that allows for coil-splitting. It gives you a myriad of sounds to play with. Here's what it can do:       Position 1 - Full neck humbucker pickup only.   Position 2 - Two inside coils only of both humbuckers.   Position 3 - Both neck and bridge full humbuckers.   Position 4 - Two outside coils only of both humbuckers.   Position 5 - Full bridge humbucker pickup only.
Five completely diverse sounds from the super-switch, greatly multiplied by rolling on and off the pre-amp, built into solid neck-through chassis make the Model 5 the most overlooked, under-appreciated, under-valued, and positively under-rated Charvel Model Series guitar.
This guitar is a player. I strongly advise you never pick it up to play before leaving for work. You will be late. It's so comfortable and so responsive, you lose all track of time. She's a player's player. She's got a few nicks, a few dings, and an absolute ton of character. 
***Additionally, there is a very nice, black generic hardshell case available to the winning bidder for an additional $125 - at the bidder/winner's option. It can be added to your invoice at YOUR discretion. You do NOT have to buy the case if you buy the guitar. We are just making it available if you want it. All of the original latches and hinges are present and fully functional. It is very sturdy, durable, and protects the guitar extremely well.***Again, the case is optional. Not mandatory.
