The latest edition of Blue Book of Electric Guitars, by Zachary R. Fjestad, grades condition by percentage. Fjestad's definition for 90%, or what he calls "Excellent" condition, is "Light exterior finish wear with a few minor dings, no paint chips down to the wood, light oxidation on metal parts, normal nicks and scratches, light observable neck wear in most cases. No major problems or issues."
This guitar is better than that.
That's a pretty big statement considering this guitar is 24-years-old! Model 3s were the most popular bolt-on option back in the '80s for the very same reason they are still the most popular bolt-on Model Series Charvel today. They rock. HSS and the 5-way blade simply give you more options than most guitars.
Classic Charvel shredder sound. The thin MIJ Charvel maple necks are among the most comfortable necks ever made. The rosewood fretboard with white dot inlay tempers the maple neck with just the right amount of tone. The now famous J90C humbucker (bridge) is a screamer designed for what Charvel called "cleaner distortion". The two J100 single-coils permit you to explore many ranges of cleaner tones. The Jackson JT-6 tremolo, licensed by Floyd Rose, stays in tune, works perfectly, and is a proven workhorse.
This is a very nice guitar. And I promise you it's more impressive in person - in your hands. It's not mint but it gives you the feeling that it is. It's so clean and the famous Charvel pointy headstock is all still there - and fully intact. Only very, very minor imperfections prevent this guitar from looking nearly brand new.
***Additionally, there is a very nice, black generic hardshell case available to the winning bidder for an additional $100 - at the bidder/winner's option. It can be added to your invoice at YOUR discretion. You do NOT have to buy the case if you buy the guitar. We are just making it available if you want it. The case has all the latches and hinges present and working perfectly.  All of the original latches and hinges are present and fully functional. It is very sturdy, durable, and protects the guitar extremely well.***Again, the case is optional. Not mandatory. Not included.***
