Rare Vintage 1988 Model 4 Neck with Mother of Pearl Shark Fin Fret Markers - Japan Market Only Neck - Blue Metallic

Here it is...A Rare 1988 Model 4 Neck Manufactured in very few numbers for the Japanese market only.

This is the first year for Colored Headstocks for these Japan Market Only Import Charvels. This one is Rare because its a Model 4 just like the the ones manufactured for the USA Market except with the color headstock ( Blue Metallic ).

Cosmetically the neck has very little wear and a couple of cosmetic flaws. The tip of the headstock is in good condition with almost no nicks ( SEE PHOTOS ). That said its super-super clean I am calling it mint yet there are normal signs of use.

This neck is one of the few that were manufactured with this logo in 1988. Better than usually Quality is evident by the mother of pearl dots, higher grade woods, etc.

The rosewood
fingerboard has super fast slick texture with great large frets. This is one of the sought after quarter-sawn versions for those concerned with tone. The truss rod has been tested and is 100% operational. The neck is structurally perfect ready to mount and use. The maple back is "slightly flamey", figured and GREAT looking. Scarf joint grain lines up and accents the warm color of the neck.
