Elusive, stunning, and one-of-a-kind.

The import Charvel Fusion Plus wasn't the only model to feature a solid ash body, transparent finish, 24 frets, short scale, or the JE-0005 5-way super switch for coil-splitting. BUT, it was the only model to offer all of these features. It's a onezie.

The two piece Ash body is shown off beautifully with the factory See-Thru White finish. It's just enough to give it a bit of color yet transparent enough to allow the grain of the Ash to be seen easily. The Charvel logo is placed on top of the See-Thru White Ash matching headstock, further enhancing the overall look. And unlike some other guitars, the rosewood fretboard features unique offset white dot inlays that create a classy look on the fretboard yet don't distract you from the woodworking piece of art of the Ash body.

The original pickups were swapped out in favor of the ceramic magnet Vintage 7/V7 and alnico magnet Vintage 8/V8 humbuckers made by DiMarzio for Ibanez. Here's how Ibanez describes them....

V7 (neck): "Tight, but bright. Very dynamic for chording and rhythm."

V8 (bridge): "Warm yet articulate lead pickup with enhanced overtones. Good harmonics without excessive brightness."

It's a factory JE-0005 5-way "super-switch" that allows for coil-splitting. Positions 1, 3, and 5 are the standard neck only, neck + bridge, and bridge only respectively. Positions 2 and 4 coil-split the outside and inside coils of each humbucker.

It also has a few cool, player-friendly features. A "scoop" has been taken out of the treble horn to allow for easier access to the higher frets. The Floyd Rose-licensed Schaller JT-590 is recessed to allow for maximum pull up when you feel like putting on a whammy bar. Lastly, it's short scale. What exactly does "short scale" mean? It means less string tension, a major benefit being that it makes bending easier.

Now let's get to condition. It's in great shape. No chips, no pick marks, no buckle rash, etc. The famous Charvel pointy headstock still retains every bit of wood. The tuners don't show any sign of wear. The frets look like they've never been played. The back of the neck is one of the smoothest we've ever felt. The body is near perfect. On the treble horn scoop there are three TINY pinpoints all in a row and four even TINIER pinpoints to the left that feel like someone took a safety pin and poked the finish. On the outside of the same horn, there are two small linear impacts where the side rounds to the back of the guitar. Everything else is in/under the clear coat and feels smooth to the touch. For two decade old guitar, it's in exceptional shape.

This girl is a beauty. Her stunning look of the two piece ash body looks as good as it did the day it left the factory.

The only other Charvel Fusion Plus we've seen sold for $587.95 shipped here on eBay. These don't come around often, especially in this condition, so grab this girl while you can.
