Welcome bidders, you are bidding on an extremely cool piece! This is the '88 Charvel/Jackson Model 88 electric guitar. 25.5" scale. 1.69" nut width. Serial #: 0491. 7.9 lbs. This is a pretty exciting piece. The Model 88 Charvels were made for one year only, '88, and feature a ribbon mahogany body. This example was owned by a collector and is in exceptionally clean condition. The mahogany body creates a huge warm tone. The angled high output Jackson humbucker puts out the exact tone you want from an 80's piece- huge crunch. The only control here is a volume- so there's nothing keeping that pickup from the output jack. Plug this one into a tube amp and watch out- palm muted thump and some serious lead tones. Needless to say- I fell in love immediately. The Jackson Floyd here is set to float and it is a joy. Big pulls and dives are available here. The neck? Oh man. This brought me right back in time to my teenage years. The necks Charvel was making in the late 80's were so thin and flat- so nice. The 16" radius makes it even better. Low action and the ability to bend- seemingly forever. The look is incredible- trans finish so you can see the sweet mahogany wood grain, shark tooth inlays, and a reverse headstock with the classic 'Charvel' logo! This guitar is in excellent condition- some very light pick scratches on the front and a couple of light scratches on the back- nothing that would show on camera- you have to hold the guitar on an angle in the light to see anything. The frets are clean- just professionally setup with 3/32" action at the 12th fret low E. This auction includes the original hardshell case(1 broken latch) and original bar. This is the chance of a lifetime to get your hands on the super rare Model 88 Charvel. 5. If an item is damaged in shipping- please keep all packing materials and contact us immediately so we can file a claim.

6. Unfortunately, we can no longer ship to the Russian Federation due to a high rate of theft.

7. Due to new USPS guidelines- certain countries will not accept USPS packages over 42". If that is the case, we can remove the neck or, if it is a set/neck-thru we can ship Fedex International for an additional charge.

8. Flat rate shipping is for continental USA only- all other territories will be calculated..

9. NY residents to pay sales tax- we don't 'charge' it- we just 'collect' it...
