This guitar is in great shape! A few scratches and dings on the back and sides.

Comes with hardshell case. The case functions properly, all hinges and latches work. It does have some scratches and dirty spots on it.

I will only accept Paypal for payment, and will only ship within the continental US.

The guitar is in very good condition. I am selling it as pictured with Origional Charverl/Jackson case. As you can see from the pictures it has a solid mohogony body with a 1/4" Flamed Maple top. Has Duncan Designed HB-103 in the bridge and an HB-102 in the neck. Has licensed Floyd Rose Tremelo but no tremelo arm. The case has some minor cracks and heat warping, and is missing the handle as well as two of the metal feet. Comes with Levy's Nylon strap.

We send almost all of our items UPS Ground.  We find this to be the safest and most economical choice for the majority of our customers. With some exceptions like smaller packages or locations where UPS is price prohibitive we occasionally ship USPS at our discretion. Shipping Charges can be calculated in the auction by adding your zip code. Please do not contact us to negotiate shipping charges/services after you have purchased the item; it hinders the shipping process and causes delivery delays.

Handling Charges: The shipping cost may include a handling charge.  The charge is different for each item. Handling charges helps us cover our costs which are directly related to the shipping of the item for which you are bidding.

Combined shipping is also left to our discretion. Shipping charges maybe minimized when shipping multiple items however we still charge a handle fee for each item regardless of combined shipping.

The heel was originally 2-1/4 but has been professionally sanded to fit 2-3/16 inch (Standard Fender Specs) bodies. The sanded part does not show when the neck is mounted.

The scale length is 25-1/2 inches.

I had this one on an American Fender and it was awesome.

Neck has a slight "V" shape near the nut that tapers to "C" as you move up the neck. Fairly chunky but not Fat.

Great old school vibe.

For your consideration: an original-run Charvel Surfcaster 12-string in gloss black. Equipped with all original stock parts, in perfect working order, and in amazing condition. These are some of the most playable and sought-after 12-strings out there. It has all the sonic and visual hallmarks of top-level tone-snob guitars out there (Fender Jazzmasters, Jaguars & the like) while sporting the speed and playability of the metal-era shredders (Jackson, Ibanez, etc...) Here's some specifics:

Made in Japan at the Fuji-gen Gakki factory- renowned for their attention to detail and superb fit & finish. Fuji-gen now makes the ultra-high-end Zemaitis guitars. This guitar was produced during the original '92 to '95 surfcaster production run- considered to be the finest examples of the Surfcaster.

This guitar has a simple gloss black finish on its basswood body. Both the pickguard and the cream binding have yellowed beautifully with age. The thin-profile maple neck, jumbo frets and rosewood fingerboard make for speed and comfort during play. The two Chandler lipstick pickups really chime and sing out in a mix- and the push/push switch hidden in the tone knob reverses the polarity of the bridge pickup for even wider tonal options. This guitar is in excellent used condition- very slight fretwear and 3 or 4 slight scratches on the back- the kind that can be easily buffed out. I'd give this one a 9 out of 10. Has new-ish strings and has been set up and intonated within the last 6 months.

I hate to let this one go, but my financial situation has forced me to thin the herd a bit- and 4 Surfcaster 12s may be just a bit too much awesome for one man to own.

Description

Model 3A  from the 1987 Charvel Jackson Import product line. Other than the addition of a R4 Floyd Locking nut this Charvel is original. The Jackson JT-6 tremolo is original and the bridge is in great condition. Intonation settings on the bridge are dead on. The pickups are original and all electronics are in factory new condition and the control cavities look to have never been opened. The guitar has absolutely NO visible dings, dents, cracks or any other blemishes whatsoever. This guitar is 100% structurally sound and operates as designed or better because of the stay-in-tune-ability of the Floyd Rose Nut. The guitar was evidently kept in the case all its life. Frets wear is 92% of original.

The Neck is in beautiful condition with figured quarter-sawn maple showing some birdseye and some flaming.  The guitar was born with a Kahler behind the nut string lock but has been "PROFESSIONALLY" modified. The work could not be better. The truss rod if fully functional and accessible with a standard truss key and operates perfectly. The Floyd Rose R4 nut is a PERFECT FIT and the strings are in NO need of a string retainer. There is absolutely NO cracks (see photos) at the nut or anywhere else. Super clean and super mean! Also the JT-6 Jackson tremolo accepts a screw in type Floyd Rose tremolo bar. So if you already own a Floyd System or you lose the included trem bar you can pick up any cheap bar off ebay or anywhere else that fits a standard screw in Floyd type .

I have owned this guitar for 15 years. solid body, one piece body, three active pick ups and floyd rose.

 

The Japan-made Charvel Model 6 was the highest quality import Charvel ever made. It was in fact the first import version of the Jackson Soloist, but under the Charvel brand.
The Model 6 is a neck-through construction with a maple neck and poplar body. The neck has 24 jumbo frets on a bound rosewood fretboard. The Model 6 became popular for its bound neck/headstock, and "sharkfin" fingerboard position inlays in real Mother of Pearl. The Model 6s came with Kahler 2300 Tremolos in 1986, as well as an extra thin neck profile. The tremolo was later replaced with a non-recessed JT-6 licensed Floyd, and the neck profile became a little beefier. The pickups were a Jackson J50BC humbucker at the bridge, and two Jackson J-200 stacked singlecoils, and it had an on-board mid-boost (Jackson JE-1200). The control layout consists of a Volume knob, a Tone knob, a knob for the mid boost, and three mini toggles to switch each of the pickups on and off.
