Up for auction is a beautifully restored Jackson Charvel 750 XL Professional Arch Top Soloist. This neck-thru guitar was a well used stage warrior that really needed a fresh start in life and so it underwent an extensive and expensive full restoration to bring it back to its original glory. This Japanese made 1989, guitar was gutted and put back together by a professional luthier to what you see here. The photos do NOT do it any justice. The thick mahogany body has a non-routed bridge, and was refinished in a brilliant pearl white (original color). New EMG 81/85, new Original Floyd Rose bridge and nut , new knobs and hardware were installed, no cheap shit here. The Jackson tuners and electronics are original and functioning perfectly. The fretboard and wires were replaced and re-stamped with the original serial number C903977. The low action, dead straight neck and headstock are bound in white. There is one very small scratch on the fretboard that I cannot get photographed, but it does NOT affect playability at all.
And last but not least for whatever reason a JACKSON headstock logo instead of the correct Charvel toothpaste logo was set in place. I don't know why, it's just there. Don't let it detract from an otherwise perfect restoration. Only a collector would care and only if they are looking for an original condition guitar-in which case this isn't as it was restored. But it is an awesome piece for a collector or player.

For a little history, Jackson/Charvel did make Jackson Professional Arch Top Soloists from 1990 on in Japan, but this (according to the serial number) should be a Charvel. The Charvel 750XL was only made in Japan in 1989 for approx. one year.

The guitar is sold "AS IS".  What you see is what you get-no BS and nothing hidden. Comes with a new Coffin Case and whammy bar. Strings are new, may needs to be set up to your liking, as they are just getting broken in. It plays amazing-even makes me sound good! I cannot change what has been done to the guitar, without ruining a perfect restoration. If you care to be correct I good painter could sand down the headstock and carefully remove the Jackson logo and re-apply a Charvel toothpaste logo, re-lacquer it and the guitar would be completely perfect. It never mattered to me.

Please don't harass me about the Jackson logo, as I said, I didn't do it, it is the way I purchased it. I am the third owner. I am not trying to deceive or mislead any one. I am giving full disclosure. Please don't let the logo issue detract from the fact that this is a spectacularly restored heavy metal shredding machine in its full glory, just the way Grover Jackson had intended!
