AxeDealers usually sells Jackson/Charvel Model Series guitars in their original factory configuration. But not this time. Restoring this guitar wouldn't be an improvement. It would positively be a detriment. So, not in this case. We're not touching it. It's pro caliber. Remade by a pro luthier for a pro player to the most exacting standards. Nothing about this guitar is amateur. Therefore, any attempt to restore it to its original condition would make it much less of the guitar that it is today. In the final analysis, it would be absolutely criminal to change a single thing on this guitar.
Purchased directly from L.A. recording artist Bobby Wayne Vanden III of Heart Throb Mob (see links below). Mr. Vanden had this guitar rewired, reworked, reconfigured to his taste by none other than professional luthier Scott Dunham of Mad Creations Unlimited of Southern California. 
Mr. Dunham does the most incredible work I've ever seen. Examine the photos of the control cavity to get just an inkling of Dunham's exactitude and precision quality craftsmanship. It's simply amazing. Dunham performed the conversion work in April 2006 per Bobby Vanden's request. None of that shielding paint for Dunham. It's all genuine copper shielding. And none of it's rough cut. It's perfectly tailored to the shape of the control cavity. It truly is a work of art inside that control cavity. And I'm not touching it. Anyone familiar with the myriad of amateur guitar modifications will fully appreciate in contrast the work of a true professional as is Scott Dunham. Among Dunham's modifications are the added circuitry to give Vanden control over variance in tone; the custom installation of an 18 volt digital pre-amp system (requires TWO not one 9 volt batteries); all protected with hand-shaped genuine copper shielding.  The sum total of Dunham's modifications is the most professional and noiseless Jackson/Charvel Model Series guitar I have ever encountered in all my years of dealing with them since 1987. The man does remarkable work. And he apparently knows that as he proudly installed a small modification plaque within the control cavity describing his new 18 volt system and signed and dated his work. Furthermore, he permanently affixed his business card to the underside of the control cavity cover. I invite you to peruse Dunham's Mad Creations Unlimited website.

The rebuild also replaced the original Jackson J95C with an EMG humbucker and the Jackson JT-6 with an Original Floyd Rose (OFR - the real deal - Floyd's finest).
Bobby Vanden's videos can be found all over the net. I invite you to surf him up as well. Not only will you find that he is an extremely talented player but you will also bump into some of his fans, their photo albums and also one of his own photo albums on MySpace which catalogues his collection of stage guitars. You will find photos of this very guitar among them. When looking at his guitars please note the incredible condition and cleanliness which Mr. Vanden maintains all of his stage guitars. Without exception. Examination of these photos clearly shows Mr. Vanden treats and maintains his instruments as if they were true works of art --- and they are. Despite all of his efforts, the guitar suffered two noticeable scratches in the clear coat neither of which reached the black paint.
Needless to say the guitar plays! You will not be disappointed. 
Whether you're looking for the best playing Charvel out there or just a brush with fame to hang on your wall, this is the only guitar that can satisfy both.

We also acquired Mr. Vanden's hard shell case, strap, and tremolo bar for this guitar. The case is artfully decorated with numerous band and music stickers which in itself, is a wonderful example of hairband period pop art and in most excellent condition.
